Limp Bizkit on the tail end of their Loserville 2024 tour came through Ridgefield, WA and it was a thrilling roller coaster ride. Opening for the evening was Corey Feldman. As if from an episode of “Actors gone wild”, Corey and his band put on an exciting set that had the audience on their feet cheering throughout. At first, Corey Feldman’s performance strikes you as a novelty with the outrageous and at times “cringy” dance moves and the much talked about “guitar solo” during “The Joke.” But, as quickly as you dismiss him, he charms his way right into your good graces and re-establishes himself as a serious artist. Shoutouts to the pacific northwest, home of the goondocks.
N8NOFACE was the next artist to perform. His style of music might best be described as Industrial, but it really felt out of place on that stage. He really tried to give off a shocked/deranged vibe, pounding his head with his fist and pulling his shirt up over his head. A large contingent of the spectators used his set as a good opportunity to refresh their drinks and visit the merch booths.
Bones with Eddy Baker & Xavier Wulf got the main support slot and performed for a solid hour. Mosh pits were pumped up and the many of the crowd were rapping right along.
Limp Bizkit opened their set with “Break Stuff” and security was anticipating bodies raining over the barricade. However, the subdued crowd in Ridgefield held their turf, not venturing to the “fun side of the island.” The audio for the Limp Bizkit’s set was superb. In fact, singer Fred Durst called out the sound engineers for getting the sound dialed in perfectly. The nearly twenty song set had all the makings of a great Limp Bizkit set and even included covers of George Micheal’s “Faith” and The Who’s “Behind Blue Eyes.”
During set changes, Riff Raff performed a few songs while Co-Host John Carnage gyrated and rolled around keeping the audience distracted.
The tour ends in San Bernardino, CA on August 24th, but Limp Bizkit’s performance demonstrated that they’ve still got longevity and a massive following. Perhaps another leg will be announced soon.
