Tesla, the blue collar, hard-working Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees recently played their last pair of shows for 2023 at Lincoln City Oregon’s Chinook Winds Casino. During the show, singer Jeff Keith commented on how much the band loves coming back to this venue and they’ve been doing it for nearly 30 years.
The venue and the acoustics gave an intimate feel to an incredible 5-man electric rock and roll performance. Notably absent was longtime drummer Troy Lucketta, but the band introduced us to their new stick man, Steve Brown. Steve looked quite at home behind the kit and it appears that this band has many more solid years ahead.
Despite releasing new work in 2019 with an album titled Shock, most of the set list was comprised of hits from their earlier works. The crowd was on their feet for nearly the entirety of the 15 song set and songs like “Love Song” and “Signs” received a tremendous amount of crowd participation. The Lincoln City, OR stop was night one of a two night booking. Jeff polled the audience to see how many were attending both nights with roughly half the audience attending the back-to-back performances.
Lincoln City was the last stop on their 2023 tour, but the hard-working band will be back on the road in January at the Seminole Canter in Immokalee, FL. For more information about tour dates, check out Http://teslatheband.com/tour
